Join scholars, government leaders, experts, people with lived experience, knowledge keepers and more to share experiences with community safety and wellbeing work from across North America.
This multi-day conference hosted in beautiful Victoria, BC, will give you a chance to connect with leaders in the field, while encouraging you to reimagine what community safety and wellbeing looks like in your community, and beyond.
Topics will challenge, explore and discover the current trends, issues, and research in the community safety and wellbeing field.
This conference aligns with a complementary event immediately after, hosted with our partner organization, the Strong Cities Network (an independent global network of cities addressing hate, extremism and polarization, of which the City of Victoria is a member).
Together with the Foundation for a Path Forward (an anti-racist, solutions-focused non-profit with branches across Canada), and support from British Columbia’s Attorney General, Strong Cities will host a summit focusing on practical, city-led efforts to prevent hate and extremism and build resilience in the face of global crises, with a particular focus on mayors and local governments in western Canada and the western United States. We invite you to extend your stay in Victoria for this complementary session, which will begin midday October 30 through October 31.
